Expansion & Movement Joint Profiles protect your floor from cracks and movement. Aluminum and stainless steel movement joints are designed to install over expansion joints in the substrate, Style 1, EPDM rubber-filled profiles are used to accommodate up to 5/64" (2mm) of movement within a large field of tile when installed using the thin-bed method.
For abutting tiles, they also provide edge protection against chipping and cracking of the unfinished tile edge. Aluminum and Stainless Steel movement joints are available in a variety of EPDM infill colors. Suitable for residential and commercial projects, they can be used indoors and outdoors as an alternative to caulking.
